Harrison Street Academy is proudly recognized as the first S.T.E.A.M. (Science Technology Engineering Art Math) preschool in Leesburg, VA. A S.T.E.A.M. powered education is a progressive, enriching program that introduces children to the concepts of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Studies show that exposing young children to a S.T.E.A.M. curriculum supports their overall academic growth and develops early thinking and reasoning skills.
S.T.E.A.M. curriculum goes beyond colors, shapes, numbers and letters. It includes hands-on experiments by our S.T.E.A.M. department. Each week, passionate teachers present several meaningful learning experiences that are designed to engage children‘s natural curiosity and problem solving skills. Students will learn why the sky is blue, how to combine colors to make new ones, where animals live and eat and sleep, and so much more!
